Extended Family Session at Sunrise on Pensacola Beach
Whew! Ever wondered what it’s like at an extended family session on Pensacola Beach photographing 25 people?? Let me paint a picture for you — it’s magical, sandy, and tons of FUN!
This crew showed up ready. Matching color palette? Absolutely. Grandma and Grandpa beaming? You got it. Little cousins giggling and running wild before 7 a.m.? Check! And you know what? That early morning light wrapped around them beautifully.
Sunrise sessions are hands-down one of my favorite ways to capture families — especially big ones. The beach is quiet, the light is absolutely perfect, and they started their day together. No distractions, no crowds, just the sound of waves and everyone soaking in a slow, sweet morning.
Now don’t get me wrong — wrangling 25 people (including a few toddlers, teenagers, and lots of siblings) can feel like herding beach chickens. But that’s part of the fun! We kept it playful and light, broke the session into smaller groupings, and let the kids run off steam in between shots. That’s the beauty of doing it at sunrise — there’s space to move, laugh, and breathe.
The best part? Watching generations come together. Grandma holding hands with her grandbabies. Siblings reconnecting after busy seasons. Cousins sharing inside jokes. It’s those candid, in-between moments that turn into the most treasured memories.
If you’re thinking about booking an Extended Family Session on Pensacola Beach — do it. Let’s make it early, let’s keep it fun, and let’s celebrate what it means to be together. No moment is ever picture perfect, but every bit of it is perfectly yours.
