Hey everyone! Spring is almost here! And thank goodness because I am not good with cold weather. Did you know that spring is the beginning of busy season for photographers? When the weather warms up, families are ready to get out of the house and get photos taken before it gets too hot. It’s the perfect time!

Mini sessions are such a fun way to update family photos, or just get some fun photos of your kiddos! These sessions are also a shorter time frame, so it’s perfect for busy families who are on the go!

So, how do you know what mini session to book? There are so many photographers! Here are some pointers:

How To Choose a Mini Session

1. First, I recommend finding a photographer whose editing style you identify with the most. I personally love light, bright, airy photos that capture authentic moments. Documenting those candid moments and the smiling posed moments is what I do best!
2. Next, find someone you and your family can enjoy being around for photos! Someone you feel like you might be friends with. This helps a lot! And makes it less stressful for you. If you have children, make sure it is a photographer that is comfortable around children and makes them smile! Patience is key to capturing those laughs and smiles.
3. Last, after you have booked your session, plan your wardrobe! Find outfits for you and your family that coordinate. It is not necessary to do matchy, matchy. Coordinating is key! Pull in a few different colors and go from there.

Easter Minis with Elle Kay Photography

For my Easter Mini Sessions this spring, I will have several baby chicks (yes, baby chickens!) to include in your photos! My Easter Minis (or Spring Mini Sessions, tomato, tomahto) are coming up next weekend! Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19, at Bayview Park in Pensacola.
